About the Mayo PTA
Mayo's Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) works to support educational programs at the school as well as to foster a sense of community with our Mayo Family. Our PTA, made up of family members, caregivers, teachers and school staff, aims to enrich the education of our children through hands-on experiences, a dedication to the arts, and a commitment to the development of well-rounded young people.
The Mayo PTA plays a vital role in supporting this innovative approach. We help provide the resources, materials, and experiences that make Mayo’s vision a reality. Working alongside our incredible staff and families, we fund programs, organize events, and strengthen the Mayo community every day.

Our PTA, made up of parents, grandparents, teachers and school staff, work together to create opportunities and special moments for our students and our community. We aim to enrich the education of our all of our students. We value equity, access, and whole-child learning.
Parent participation is a vital part of the innovative experiential learning environment at Mayo Demonstration.
Parent participation is a vital part of the innovative experiential learning environment at Mayo Demonstration.
Parents enhance this learning experience by providing additional resources, skills and talents. Parents are encouraged to volunteer as their schedule permits. This involvement promotes small group instruction in the classroom, increases the parents’ involvement in their children’s learning, and provides support to Mayo traditions and newer events, allowing them to flourish.
Because learning doesn’t happen just in the classroom, field education experiences and on-site enrichment activities are an important part of the curriculum at Mayo. In addition, the Mayo community participates in and support many events and special opportunities for our students and families.
Creating this “Mayo Magic” takes time, energy, commitment and funding.

That’s where the PTA comes in and collectively organizes, supports, and shows up to make it happen. We welcome all Mayo families and hope you will come to recognize the remarkable, exciting, and distinguished community that we all are a part of at Mayo Demonstration School.
