Mayo is a one-of-a-kind learning environment where curiosity, creativity, and connection come first. Our open classrooms, movement-based learning, and hands-on field studies help kids stay engaged and energized. Students also meet in small, multi-age “family” groups each week, building confidence, leadership skills, and meaningful relationships across grade levels.
It’s a place where students are supported to grow as independent thinkers who act with integrity — and where the PTA plays a big role in making it all happen.

Whether you have two hours a week or two hours a year, there’s a way for everyone to be part of the Mayo Magic.
No meetings, no pressure.
We promise.
Becoming a PTA member is the easiest way to show your support. There’s no obligation to attend meetings or volunteer (unless you want to!). Your membership helps fund programs and shows you believe in Mayo Magic.
Perfect for those who want to help—just not all the time.
Many of our events can’t run without the help of day-of volunteers. Whether you’re setting up tables, handing out snacks, or running a game booth, these short shifts make a big difference — and they’re a fun way to meet other families!
Be a changemaker.
Whether you want to serve on the PTA board, chair a committee, or represent your classroom, there’s a place for you. No experience needed— just a willingness to jump in and help our school shine.

The Mayo PTA helps bring Mayo’s vision to life. We provide resources, materials, and experiences that fuel creativity and curiosity. We fund programs, organize events, and support our teachers—always with the goal of strengthening our community and enriching every child’s education. Working side by side with families and staff, we help make Mayo Magic possible every single day.
What is required of PTA members?
What is required of PTA members?
NOTHING! There are no commitment or expectations of PTA members, you’re just simply showing your support for our great students, school, parents, and staff. Of course, we encourage all parents to get involved with the PTA, there is absolutely no obligation to do so.

At the end of every school year, the new PTA Board members are elected by the general PTA membership. If you are interested in serving on the board next year, email president@mayopta.org to learn more about putting your name on the ballot.
